Amundi Dow Jones Industrial Average UCITS ETF Dist

Amundi · FR0007056841

Amundi Dow Jones Industrial Average UCITS ETF Dist is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) from Amundi, traded under the ticker DJEL (ISIN FR0007056841). One trade buys a whole basket of holdings, so your money is spread out instead of riding on a single company. In plain terms it is about owning small slices of companies, so you share in their growth when they do well — and their falls when they don't, spread across its target market. It passively tracks the Dow Jones Industrial Average Net Total Return index — mirroring that market instead of paying a manager to pick winners, which keeps costs low, and its largest holdings include GOLDMAN SACHS GROUP INC, CATERPILLAR INC and UNITEDHEALTH GROUP INC. Its biggest country exposures are ~100% United States. By industry it concentrates most in ~28.7% Financials and ~17.1% Industrials. It is commonly used to tilt a portfolio towards one market, usually alongside broader, more global funds rather than on its own. Its ongoing charge (TER) is 0.5% a year — about €50 a year on a €10,000 holding, taken automatically from the fund. Income such as dividends is paid out to you as cash (a distributing share class), and over the last year it paid out roughly 0.71% (its trailing yield). It tracks its index through a swap agreement rather than owning every holding (synthetic replication); it is domiciled in France and UCITS-regulated, a European standard built to protect everyday investors and trades in EUR. On the standard KID risk scale it is rated 3 out of 7 and its price has swung about 11.7% over the past year, which describes how much its price tends to move rather than whether it is good. It launched in 2001, and its KID suggests a holding period of 5 years. Like any investment, it can lose value as well as gain, and what it did before does not predict what it will do next.
