What this fund is

Amundi MSCI China A UCITS ETF Acc is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) from Amundi, traded under the ticker CNAA (ISIN FR0011720911). In a single purchase you get a diversified basket of holdings rather than a stake in just one business. In plain terms it is about owning small slices of companies, so you share in their growth when they do well — and their falls when they don't, spread across its target market. It follows the MSCI China A Net Total Return USD Index index (passive investing): it tracks the market rather than relying on a manager, keeping running costs down, and its largest holdings include CONTEMPORARY AMPEREX TECHNOLOGY CO LTD, KWEICHOW MOUT C L-A NT-SS and ZHONGJI INNOLIGHT CO LTD-A. It holds around 411 positions (the ten largest ≈ 18.6%), spreading risk so no single holding decides your outcome.

Its biggest country exposures are ~100% China. By industry it concentrates most in ~35% Information Technology and ~17.8% Financials. It is commonly used to tilt a portfolio towards one market, usually alongside broader, more global funds rather than on its own. Its ongoing charge (TER) is 0.35% a year — about €35 a year on a €10,000 holding, taken automatically from the fund. It is an accumulating share class: dividends are rolled straight back in, compounding your returns rather than landing in your account as cash.

It holds the underlying investments directly (physical replication); it is domiciled in France and UCITS-regulated, a European standard built to protect everyday investors and trades in USD. Its price has swung about 18.1% over the past year — a gauge of how much the value moves, not a judgement of quality. It launched in 2014. Like any investment, it can lose value as well as gain, and what it did before does not predict what it will do next. (Fund data sourced from Amundi.)

Pick a monthly amount and a number of years to see how regular investing can add up over time. These are your own assumptions — an illustration, not a prediction.

How this works: an educational scenario, not a forecast. We compound monthly and add your monthly amount each month. “Expected annual return” is your own assumption — pick a cautious one; real markets are bumpy and can fall. “Adjust for inflation” simply restates the result in today’s spending power. The fee figure includes the yearly fund fee (TER) and the growth those fees would otherwise have earned. The fund comparison repeats each fund’s last-12-months return every year — a rough illustration only, which real funds never do. Not advice.
