What this fund is

iShares AI Innovation Active UCITS ETF is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) from iShares, traded under the ticker IART (ISIN IE000G0E83X3). In a single purchase you get a diversified basket of holdings rather than a stake in just one business. At its core it is a focused, thematic fund: it concentrates on the technology part of the market, so it lives or dies by that one area rather than the economy as a whole. Underneath, it is about owning small slices of companies, so you share in their growth when they do well — and their falls when they don't. Its largest holdings include SK HYNIX INC, MICRON TECHNOLOGY INC and ADVANCED MICRO DEVICES INC.

Spread across roughly 50 holdings (the ten largest ≈ 45.9%), no one position makes or breaks the fund. By geography it is weighted towards ~66.9% United States, ~19.4% Taiwan and ~8.7% Korea (South). Its heaviest sectors are ~89% Technology and ~6.5% Communication Services. A focused fund like this is typically held as a smaller 'satellite' position around a broader core — a way to lean into one theme, not usually a portfolio's only holding. Its ongoing charge (TER) is 0.73% a year — about €73 a year on a €10,000 holding, taken automatically from the fund.

Income such as dividends is automatically reinvested inside the fund (an accumulating share class), so returns compound without you doing anything. It holds the underlying investments directly (physical replication); it is domiciled in Ireland and UCITS-regulated, a European standard built to protect everyday investors and trades in USD. Its price has swung about 41.8% over the past year — a gauge of how much the value moves, not a judgement of quality. It launched in 2025. Like any investment, it can lose value as well as gain, and what it did before does not predict what it will do next. (Fund data sourced from iShares.)

What your money could grow into

Pick a monthly amount and a number of years to see how regular investing can add up over time. These are your own assumptions — an illustration, not a prediction.

How this works: an educational scenario, not a forecast. We compound monthly and add your monthly amount each month. “Expected annual return” is your own assumption — pick a cautious one; real markets are bumpy and can fall. “Adjust for inflation” simply restates the result in today’s spending power. The fee figure includes the yearly fund fee (TER) and the growth those fees would otherwise have earned. The fund comparison repeats each fund’s last-12-months return every year — a rough illustration only, which real funds never do. Not advice.
