What this fund is

iShares Global Infrastructure UCITS ETF is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) from iShares, traded under the ticker INGH (ISIN IE000TCZMZM8). One trade buys a whole basket of holdings, so your money is spread out instead of riding on a single company. At its core it is a focused, thematic fund: it concentrates on the utilities part of the market, so it lives or dies by that one area rather than the economy as a whole. Underneath, it is about owning small slices of companies, so you share in their growth when they do well — and their falls when they don't. Its largest holdings include NEXTERA ENERGY INC, UNION PACIFIC CORP and ENBRIDGE INC.

Spread across roughly 301 holdings (the ten largest ≈ 32.7%), no one position makes or breaks the fund. Geographically it leans ~63.9% United States, ~13.1% Canada and ~3.8% United Kingdom. By industry it concentrates most in ~55.5% Utilities and ~21.4% Industrials. A focused fund like this is typically held as a smaller 'satellite' position around a broader core — a way to lean into one theme, not usually a portfolio's only holding. Its ongoing charge (TER) is 0.7% a year — about €70 a year on a €10,000 holding, taken automatically from the fund.

It is an accumulating share class: dividends are rolled straight back in, compounding your returns rather than landing in your account as cash. It holds the underlying investments directly (physical replication); it is domiciled in Ireland and UCITS-regulated, a European standard built to protect everyday investors and trades in GBP. Its price has swung about 10% over the past year, which describes how much its price tends to move rather than whether it is good. It launched in 2024. Like any investment, it can lose value as well as gain, and what it did before does not predict what it will do next. (Fund data sourced from iShares.)

What your money could grow into

Pick a monthly amount and a number of years to see how regular investing can add up over time. These are your own assumptions — an illustration, not a prediction.

How this works: an educational scenario, not a forecast. We compound monthly and add your monthly amount each month. “Expected annual return” is your own assumption — pick a cautious one; real markets are bumpy and can fall. “Adjust for inflation” simply restates the result in today’s spending power. The fee figure includes the yearly fund fee (TER) and the growth those fees would otherwise have earned. The fund comparison repeats each fund’s last-12-months return every year — a rough illustration only, which real funds never do. Not advice.
