What this fund is

iShares UK Dividend UCITS ETF is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) from iShares, traded under the ticker IUKD (ISIN IE00B0M63060). In a single purchase you get a diversified basket of holdings rather than a stake in just one business. In plain terms it is about owning small slices of companies, so you share in their growth when they do well — and their falls when they don't, spread across its target market. Its largest holdings include LEGAL AND GENERAL GROUP PLC, BRITISH AMERICAN TOBACCO and NATWEST GROUP PLC. It holds around 56 positions (the ten largest ≈ 39.5%), spreading risk so no single holding decides your outcome.

Geographically it leans ~100% United Kingdom and ~0% United States. By industry it concentrates most in ~43.9% Financials and ~14.2% Consumer Staples. It is commonly used to tilt a portfolio towards one market, usually alongside broader, more global funds rather than on its own. Its ongoing charge (TER) is 0.4% a year — about €40 a year on a €10,000 holding, taken automatically from the fund. It is a distributing share class — dividends are paid to you as cash rather than reinvested, and over the last year it paid out roughly 5.99% (its trailing yield).

It holds the underlying investments directly (physical replication); it is domiciled in Ireland and UCITS-regulated, a European standard built to protect everyday investors and trades in GBP. It launched in 2005. Like any investment, it can lose value as well as gain, and what it did before does not predict what it will do next. (Fund data sourced from iShares.)

What your money could grow into

Pick a monthly amount and a number of years to see how regular investing can add up over time. These are your own assumptions — an illustration, not a prediction.

Using iShares UK Dividend UCITS ETF’s fee. The “assumed yearly return” is just an assumption you can change — not a prediction.

How this works: an educational scenario, not a forecast. We compound monthly and add your monthly amount each month. “Expected annual return” is your own assumption — pick a cautious one; real markets are bumpy and can fall. “Adjust for inflation” simply restates the result in today’s spending power. The fee figure includes the yearly fund fee (TER) and the growth those fees would otherwise have earned. The fund comparison repeats each fund’s last-12-months return every year — a rough illustration only, which real funds never do. Not advice.
