What this fund is

Invesco Health Care S&P US Select Sector UCITS ETF Acc is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) from Invesco, traded under the ticker XLVS (ISIN IE00B3WMTH43). In a single purchase you get a diversified basket of holdings rather than a stake in just one business. In plain terms it is about owning small slices of companies, so you share in their growth when they do well — and their falls when they don't, spread across its target market. It passively tracks the S&P® Select Sector Capped 20% Health Care Index index — mirroring that market instead of paying a manager to pick winners, which keeps costs low, and its largest holdings include PARKER HANNIFIN CORP, FREEPORT-MCMORAN INC and NVIDIA CORP. Spread across roughly 112 holdings (the ten largest ≈ 44.2%), no one position makes or breaks the fund.

By geography it is weighted towards ~92.4% United States, ~2.1% Switzerland and ~2.1% Netherlands. By industry it concentrates most in ~18.7% Technology and ~15% Industrials. It is commonly used to tilt a portfolio towards one market, usually alongside broader, more global funds rather than on its own. Its ongoing charge (TER) is 0.14% a year — about €14 a year on a €10,000 holding, taken automatically from the fund. It is an accumulating share class: dividends are rolled straight back in, compounding your returns rather than landing in your account as cash.

It tracks its index through a swap agreement rather than owning every holding (synthetic replication); it is domiciled in Ireland and UCITS-regulated, a European standard built to protect everyday investors and trades in USD. It launched in 2009. Like any investment, it can lose value as well as gain, and what it did before does not predict what it will do next. (Fund data sourced from Invesco.)

Pick a monthly amount and a number of years to see how regular investing can add up over time. These are your own assumptions — an illustration, not a prediction.

How this works: an educational scenario, not a forecast. We compound monthly and add your monthly amount each month. “Expected annual return” is your own assumption — pick a cautious one; real markets are bumpy and can fall. “Adjust for inflation” simply restates the result in today’s spending power. The fee figure includes the yearly fund fee (TER) and the growth those fees would otherwise have earned. The fund comparison repeats each fund’s last-12-months return every year — a rough illustration only, which real funds never do. Not advice.
