Invesco STOXX Europe 600 Optimised Insurance UCITS ETF Acc

Invesco · IE00B5MTXJ97

Invesco STOXX Europe 600 Optimised Insurance UCITS ETF Acc is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) from Invesco, traded under the ticker 0MTC (ISIN IE00B5MTXJ97). It lets you buy a basket of holdings in a single trade, spreading your money across them rather than one company. In plain terms it is about owning small slices of companies, so you share in their growth when they do well — and their falls when they don't, focused on the European market. Rather than a manager picking stocks, it simply replicates the STOXX® Europe 600 Optimised Insurance Total Return (Net) Index index — the passive, low-cost approach, and its largest holdings include CIE FINANCIERE RICHEMO-A REG, LONZA GROUP AG-REG and ROCHE HOLDING AG. With about 95 holdings (the ten largest ≈ 34.5%), your money is diversified rather than concentrated in a handful of names. Geographically it leans ~41.9% Switzerland, ~23.1% United States and ~9.5% Sweden. Its heaviest sectors are ~22.4% Health Care and ~14.1% Consumer Staples. Investors often use a broad fund like this as a long-term 'core' holding — a single building block that covers much of a global portfolio in one trade. Its ongoing charge (TER) is 0.2% a year — about €20 a year on a €10,000 holding, taken automatically from the fund. Income such as dividends is automatically reinvested inside the fund (an accumulating share class), so returns compound without you doing anything. It tracks its index through a swap agreement rather than owning every holding (synthetic replication); it is domiciled in Ireland and UCITS-regulated, a European standard built to protect everyday investors and trades in EUR. On the standard KID risk scale it is rated 4 out of 7 and its price has swung about 15.9% over the past year — a gauge of how much the value moves, not a judgement of quality. It launched in 2009, and its KID suggests a holding period of 5 years. Like any investment, it can lose value as well as gain, and what it did before does not predict what it will do next. About this fund

The STOXX® Europe 600 Optimised Insurance Total Return (Net) Index index is the benchmark this fund aims to copy. By holding it, this fund gives you a stake in around 95 companies across Europe in a single purchase.

The fund automatically reinvests dividends back into itself, so your holding grows without cash payouts. The fund uses a swap contract with a bank to mirror the index, instead of holding the shares directly.
