What this fund is

Invesco STOXX Europe 600 Optimised Utilities UCITS ETF Acc is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) from Invesco, traded under the ticker 0MTF (ISIN IE00B5MTXK03). It lets you buy a basket of holdings in a single trade, spreading your money across them rather than one company. In plain terms it is about owning small slices of companies, so you share in their growth when they do well — and their falls when they don't, focused on the European market. It follows the STOXX® Europe 600 Optimised Utilities Total Return (Net) Index index (passive investing): it tracks the market rather than relying on a manager, keeping running costs down, and its largest holdings include SANDVIK AB, CIE FINANCIERE RICHEMO-A REG and HOLCIM LTD. With about 96 holdings (the ten largest ≈ 35.3%), your money is diversified rather than concentrated in a handful of names.

By geography it is weighted towards ~30.9% Switzerland, ~30.3% Sweden and ~10.9% Norway. Its heaviest sectors are ~30.1% Industrials and ~23.2% Health Care. Investors often use a broad fund like this as a long-term 'core' holding — a single building block that covers much of a global portfolio in one trade. Its ongoing charge (TER) is 0.2% a year — about €20 a year on a €10,000 holding, taken automatically from the fund. It is an accumulating share class: dividends are rolled straight back in, compounding your returns rather than landing in your account as cash.

It tracks its index through a swap agreement rather than owning every holding (synthetic replication); it is domiciled in Ireland and UCITS-regulated, a European standard built to protect everyday investors and trades in EUR. Its price has swung about 17.9% over the past year — a gauge of how much the value moves, not a judgement of quality. It launched in 2009. Like any investment, it can lose value as well as gain, and what it did before does not predict what it will do next. (Fund data sourced from Invesco.)

How this works: an educational scenario, not a forecast. We compound monthly and add your monthly amount each month. “Expected annual return” is your own assumption — pick a cautious one; real markets are bumpy and can fall. “Adjust for inflation” simply restates the result in today’s spending power. The fee figure includes the yearly fund fee (TER) and the growth those fees would otherwise have earned. The fund comparison repeats each fund’s last-12-months return every year — a rough illustration only, which real funds never do. Not advice.
