What this fund is

Invesco MSCI USA UCITS ETF Acc is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) from Invesco, traded under the ticker MXUS (ISIN IE00B60SX170). It lets you buy a basket of holdings in a single trade, spreading your money across them rather than one company. In plain terms it is about owning small slices of companies, so you share in their growth when they do well — and their falls when they don't, spread across its target market. It passively tracks the MSCI USA Total Return (Net) Index index — mirroring that market instead of paying a manager to pick winners, which keeps costs low, and its largest holdings include APPLE INC, AMAZON.COM INC and NVIDIA CORP. It holds around 415 positions (the ten largest ≈ 33.5%), spreading risk so no single holding decides your outcome.

By geography it is weighted towards ~91.3% United States, ~2.8% Switzerland and ~1.2% Germany. Its heaviest sectors are ~35.9% Technology and ~16.9% Consumer Discretionary. It is commonly used to tilt a portfolio towards one market, usually alongside broader, more global funds rather than on its own. Its ongoing charge (TER) is 0.05% a year — about €5 a year on a €10,000 holding, taken automatically from the fund; counting the trading costs inside the fund, the all-in figure is around 0.12%. It is an accumulating share class: dividends are rolled straight back in, compounding your returns rather than landing in your account as cash.

It tracks its index through a swap agreement rather than owning every holding (synthetic replication); it is domiciled in Ireland and UCITS-regulated, a European standard built to protect everyday investors and trades in USD. On the standard KID risk scale it is rated 4 out of 7, which describes how much its price tends to move rather than whether it is good. It launched in 2009, and its KID suggests a holding period of 5 years. Like any investment, it can lose value as well as gain, and what it did before does not predict what it will do next. What your money could grow into

Pick a monthly amount and a number of years to see how regular investing can add up over time. These are your own assumptions — an illustration, not a prediction.

How this works: an educational scenario, not a forecast. We compound monthly and add your monthly amount each month. “Expected annual return” is your own assumption — pick a cautious one; real markets are bumpy and can fall. “Adjust for inflation” simply restates the result in today’s spending power. The fee figure includes the yearly fund fee (TER) and the growth those fees would otherwise have earned. The fund comparison repeats each fund’s last-12-months return every year — a rough illustration only, which real funds never do. Not advice.
