What this fund is

iShares MSCI ACWI UCITS ETF is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) from iShares, traded under the ticker ISAC (ISIN IE00B6R52259). One trade buys a whole basket of holdings, so your money is spread out instead of riding on a single company. In plain terms it is about owning small slices of companies, so you share in their growth when they do well — and their falls when they don't, spread broadly across markets worldwide. It passively tracks the MSCI ACWI index — mirroring that market instead of paying a manager to pick winners, which keeps costs low, and its largest holdings include APPLE INC, NVIDIA CORP and MICROSOFT CORP. Spread across roughly 1737 holdings (the ten largest ≈ 23.5%), no one position makes or breaks the fund.

Geographically it leans ~63.4% United States, ~5.1% Japan and ~3.4% Taiwan. By industry it concentrates most in ~30.6% Technology and ~18.2% Financials. Investors often use a broad fund like this as a long-term 'core' holding — a single building block that covers much of a global portfolio in one trade. Its ongoing charge (TER) is 0.2% a year — about €20 a year on a €10,000 holding, taken automatically from the fund. Income such as dividends is automatically reinvested inside the fund (an accumulating share class), so returns compound without you doing anything.

It holds the underlying investments directly (physical replication); it is domiciled in Ireland and UCITS-regulated, a European standard built to protect everyday investors and trades in USD. Its price has swung about 14.3% over the past year — a gauge of how much the value moves, not a judgement of quality. It launched in 2011. Like any investment, it can lose value as well as gain, and what it did before does not predict what it will do next. (Fund data sourced from iShares.)

What your money could grow into

Pick a monthly amount and a number of years to see how regular investing can add up over time. These are your own assumptions — an illustration, not a prediction.

How this works: an educational scenario, not a forecast. We compound monthly and add your monthly amount each month. “Expected annual return” is your own assumption — pick a cautious one; real markets are bumpy and can fall. “Adjust for inflation” simply restates the result in today’s spending power. The fee figure includes the yearly fund fee (TER) and the growth those fees would otherwise have earned. The fund comparison repeats each fund’s last-12-months return every year — a rough illustration only, which real funds never do. Not advice.
