What this fund is

iShares MSCI World Industrials Sector Advanced UCITS ETF is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) from iShares, traded under the ticker WINS (ISIN IE00BJ5JP659). In a single purchase you get a diversified basket of holdings rather than a stake in just one business. At its core it is a focused, thematic fund: it concentrates on the industrials part of the market, so it lives or dies by that one area rather than the economy as a whole. Underneath, it is about owning small slices of companies, so you share in their growth when they do well — and their falls when they don't. It follows the MSCI World index (passive investing): it tracks the market rather than relying on a manager, keeping running costs down, and its largest holdings include CATERPILLAR INC, GE AEROSPACE and GE VERNOVA INC.

Spread across roughly 244 holdings (the ten largest ≈ 24.4%), no one position makes or breaks the fund. Its biggest country exposures are ~54.3% United States, ~13.3% Japan and ~6.6% Germany. By industry it concentrates most in ~99.5% Industrials and ~0.5% Other. A focused fund like this is typically held as a smaller 'satellite' position around a broader core — a way to lean into one theme, not usually a portfolio's only holding. Its ongoing charge (TER) is 0.18% a year — about €18 a year on a €10,000 holding, taken automatically from the fund.

It is a distributing share class — dividends are paid to you as cash rather than reinvested, and over the last year it paid out roughly 0.72% (its trailing yield). It holds the underlying investments directly (physical replication); it is domiciled in Ireland and UCITS-regulated, a European standard built to protect everyday investors and trades in USD. It launched in 2022. Like any investment, it can lose value as well as gain, and what it did before does not predict what it will do next. (Fund data sourced from iShares.)

What your money could grow into

Pick a monthly amount and a number of years to see how regular investing can add up over time. These are your own assumptions — an illustration, not a prediction.

How this works: an educational scenario, not a forecast. We compound monthly and add your monthly amount each month. “Expected annual return” is your own assumption — pick a cautious one; real markets are bumpy and can fall. “Adjust for inflation” simply restates the result in today’s spending power. The fee figure includes the yearly fund fee (TER) and the growth those fees would otherwise have earned. The fund comparison repeats each fund’s last-12-months return every year — a rough illustration only, which real funds never do. Not advice.
