What this fund is

Invesco MSCI China All Shares Stock Connect UCITS ETF Acc is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) from Invesco, traded under the ticker MCHN (ISIN IE00BK80XL30). One trade buys a whole basket of holdings, so your money is spread out instead of riding on a single company. In plain terms it is about owning small slices of companies, so you share in their growth when they do well — and their falls when they don't, spread across its target market. Rather than a manager picking stocks, it simply replicates the MSCI China All Shares Stock Connect Select Index index — the passive, low-cost approach, and its largest holdings include TENCENT HOLDINGS LTD HKD0.00002, ALIBABA GROUP HOLDING LTD HKD 0.0000 and CHINA CONSTRUCTION BANK-H CNY1. Spread across roughly 577 holdings (the ten largest ≈ 24.3%), no one position makes or breaks the fund.

By geography it is weighted towards ~69.2% China, ~25.3% Cayman Islands and ~2.3% Hong Kong. By industry it concentrates most in ~22.1% Technology and ~18.6% Financials. Investors often use a broad fund like this as a long-term 'core' holding — a single building block that covers much of a global portfolio in one trade. Its ongoing charge (TER) is 0.35% a year — about €35 a year on a €10,000 holding, taken automatically from the fund. Income such as dividends is automatically reinvested inside the fund (an accumulating share class), so returns compound without you doing anything.

It holds the underlying investments directly (physical replication); it is domiciled in Ireland and UCITS-regulated, a European standard built to protect everyday investors and trades in USD. Its price has swung about 17.4% over the past year, which describes how much its price tends to move rather than whether it is good. It launched in 2021. As with any investment, its value can go down as well as up, and past performance is not a guide to future results. (Fund data sourced from Invesco.)

Pick a monthly amount and a number of years to see how regular investing can add up over time. These are your own assumptions — an illustration, not a prediction.

How this works: an educational scenario, not a forecast. We compound monthly and add your monthly amount each month. “Expected annual return” is your own assumption — pick a cautious one; real markets are bumpy and can fall. “Adjust for inflation” simply restates the result in today’s spending power. The fee figure includes the yearly fund fee (TER) and the growth those fees would otherwise have earned. The fund comparison repeats each fund’s last-12-months return every year — a rough illustration only, which real funds never do. Not advice.
