UBS MSCI World Small Cap Socially Responsible UCITS ETF USD dis
What this fund is
UBS MSCI World Small Cap Socially Responsible UCITS ETF USD dis is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) from UBS, traded under the ticker WSCR (ISIN IE00BKSCBW67). One trade buys a whole basket of holdings, so your money is spread out instead of riding on a single company. In plain terms it is about owning small slices of companies, so you share in their growth when they do well — and their falls when they don't, spread broadly across markets worldwide. Rather than a manager picking stocks, it simply replicates the MSCI World Small Cap index — the passive, low-cost approach, and its largest holdings include US FOODS HOLDING CORP, ONTO INNOVATION INC and GUARDANT HEALTH INC. Its biggest country exposures are ~6.2% United States and ~0.6% Japan.
Its heaviest sectors are ~2% Technology and ~1.3% Industrials. Funds like this are commonly chosen by investors who want a regular cash income stream rather than reinvesting everything for growth. Its ongoing charge (TER) is 0.23% a year — about €23 a year on a €10,000 holding, taken automatically from the fund. Income such as dividends is paid out to you as cash (a distributing share class). It holds the underlying investments directly (physical replication); it is domiciled in Ireland and UCITS-regulated, a European standard built to protect everyday investors and trades in USD.
Its price has swung about 11.3% over the past year — a gauge of how much the value moves, not a judgement of quality. It launched in 2021. Like any investment, it can lose value as well as gain, and what it did before does not predict what it will do next. (Fund data sourced from UBS.)
