What this fund is

Invesco Global Clean Energy UCITS ETF Dist is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) from Invesco, traded under the ticker GCED (ISIN IE00BLRB0028). In a single purchase you get a diversified basket of holdings rather than a stake in just one business. In plain terms it is about owning small slices of companies, so you share in their growth when they do well — and their falls when they don't, spread broadly across markets worldwide. It follows the WilderHill New Energy Global Innovation Index index (passive investing): it tracks the market rather than relying on a manager, keeping running costs down, and its largest holdings include VOLTRONIC POWER TECHNOLOGY TWD10, SINO-AMERICAN SILICON PRODUC TWD10 and RIVIAN AUTOMOTIVE INC-A USD 0.0010. Spread across roughly 111 holdings (the ten largest ≈ 12.6%), no one position makes or breaks the fund.

Geographically it leans ~26.4% United States, ~15.6% Taiwan and ~7.1% China. By industry it concentrates most in ~37.3% Industrials and ~15.2% Utilities. Funds like this are commonly chosen by investors who want a regular cash income stream rather than reinvesting everything for growth. Its ongoing charge (TER) is 0.6% a year — about €60 a year on a €10,000 holding, taken automatically from the fund. It is a distributing share class — dividends are paid to you as cash rather than reinvested, and over the last year it paid out roughly 0.1% (its trailing yield).

It holds the underlying investments directly (physical replication); it is domiciled in Ireland and UCITS-regulated, a European standard built to protect everyday investors and trades in USD. Its price has swung about 22.4% over the past year — a gauge of how much the value moves, not a judgement of quality. It launched in 2021. Like any investment, it can lose value as well as gain, and what it did before does not predict what it will do next. (Fund data sourced from Invesco.)

What your money could grow into

Pick a monthly amount and a number of years to see how regular investing can add up over time. These are your own assumptions — an illustration, not a prediction.

How this works: an educational scenario, not a forecast. We compound monthly and add your monthly amount each month. “Expected annual return” is your own assumption — pick a cautious one; real markets are bumpy and can fall. “Adjust for inflation” simply restates the result in today’s spending power. The fee figure includes the yearly fund fee (TER) and the growth those fees would otherwise have earned. The fund comparison repeats each fund’s last-12-months return every year — a rough illustration only, which real funds never do. Not advice.
