Amundi Australia S&P/ASX 200 UCITS ETF Dist

Amundi · LU0496786905

Amundi Australia S&P/ASX 200 UCITS ETF Dist is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) from Amundi, traded under the ticker LAUU (ISIN LU0496786905). In a single purchase you get a diversified basket of holdings rather than a stake in just one business. In plain terms it is about owning small slices of companies, so you share in their growth when they do well — and their falls when they don't, spread across its target market. Rather than a manager picking stocks, it simply replicates the S&P/ASX 200 Net Total Return index — the passive, low-cost approach, and its largest holdings include BHP GROUP LTD, COMMONWEALTH BANK OF AUSTRALIA and WESTPAC BANK CORP AUD1. Its biggest country exposures are ~96.4% Australia, ~2.3% United States and ~1.4% New Zealand. By industry it concentrates most in ~33.3% Financials and ~26% Materials. It is commonly used to tilt a portfolio towards one market, usually alongside broader, more global funds rather than on its own. Its ongoing charge (TER) is 0.4% a year — about €40 a year on a €10,000 holding, taken automatically from the fund. It is a distributing share class — dividends are paid to you as cash rather than reinvested, and over the last year it paid out roughly 6.58% (its trailing yield). It tracks its index through a swap agreement rather than owning every holding (synthetic replication); it is domiciled in Luxembourg and UCITS-regulated, a European standard built to protect everyday investors and trades in EUR. Its price has swung about 14.2% over the past year, which describes how much its price tends to move rather than whether it is good. It launched in 2010. As with any investment, its value can go down as well as up, and past performance is not a guide to future results. (Fund data sourced from Amundi.)

About this fund

The S&P/ASX 200 Net Total Return index is the benchmark this fund aims to copy. By holding it, this fund gives you a stake in around 10 companies across Asia Pacific in a single purchase.

The fund pays dividends out to you as cash, usually a few times a year. The fund uses a swap contract with a bank to mirror the index, instead of holding the shares directly.
