What this fund is

Amundi Core MSCI Europe UCITS ETF Acc is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) from Amundi, traded under the ticker CEU2 (ISIN LU1437015735). In a single purchase you get a diversified basket of holdings rather than a stake in just one business. In plain terms it is about owning small slices of companies, so you share in their growth when they do well — and their falls when they don't, focused on the European market. It passively tracks the MSCI Europe Net Return EUR Index index — mirroring that market instead of paying a manager to pick winners, which keeps costs low, and its largest holdings include ASML HOLDING NV, HSBC HOLDINGS PLC and ROCHE HOLDING AG - GENUSSS CHF. It holds around 415 positions (the ten largest ≈ 21.1%), spreading risk so no single holding decides your outcome.

Geographically it leans ~22.1% United Kingdom, ~15.2% France and ~14.7% Switzerland. By industry it concentrates most in ~24.7% Financials and ~19.1% Industrials. Investors often use a broad fund like this as a long-term 'core' holding — a single building block that covers much of a global portfolio in one trade. Its ongoing charge (TER) is 0.12% a year — about €12 a year on a €10,000 holding, taken automatically from the fund. Income such as dividends is automatically reinvested inside the fund (an accumulating share class), so returns compound without you doing anything.

It holds the underlying investments directly (physical replication); it is domiciled in Luxembourg and UCITS-regulated, a European standard built to protect everyday investors and trades in EUR. Its price has swung about 17.3% over the past year — a gauge of how much the value moves, not a judgement of quality. It launched in 2016. Like any investment, it can lose value as well as gain, and what it did before does not predict what it will do next. (Fund data sourced from Amundi.)

What your money could grow into

Pick a monthly amount and a number of years to see how regular investing can add up over time. These are your own assumptions — an illustration, not a prediction.

How this works: an educational scenario, not a forecast. We compound monthly and add your monthly amount each month. “Expected annual return” is your own assumption — pick a cautious one; real markets are bumpy and can fall. “Adjust for inflation” simply restates the result in today’s spending power. The fee figure includes the yearly fund fee (TER) and the growth those fees would otherwise have earned. The fund comparison repeats each fund’s last-12-months return every year — a rough illustration only, which real funds never do. Not advice.
