What this fund is

Amundi Global Gender Equality UCITS ETF Acc is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) from Amundi, traded under the ticker ELLE (ISIN LU1691909508). One trade buys a whole basket of holdings, so your money is spread out instead of riding on a single company. In plain terms it is about owning small slices of companies, so you share in their growth when they do well — and their falls when they don't, spread broadly across markets worldwide. Rather than a manager picking stocks, it simply replicates the Solactive Equileap Global Gender Equality Net Total Return Index index — the passive, low-cost approach, and its largest holdings include ILLUMINA INC, KEYSIGHT TECHNOLOGIES INC and EXELON CORP. It holds around 153 positions (the ten largest ≈ 9.9%), spreading risk so no single holding decides your outcome.

By geography it is weighted towards ~45.4% United States, ~10.8% United Kingdom and ~9.7% France. By industry it concentrates most in ~23.4% Financials and ~16.5% Health Care. Investors often use a broad fund like this as a long-term 'core' holding — a single building block that covers much of a global portfolio in one trade. Its ongoing charge (TER) is 0.2% a year — about €20 a year on a €10,000 holding, taken automatically from the fund. Income such as dividends is automatically reinvested inside the fund (an accumulating share class), so returns compound without you doing anything.

It holds the underlying investments directly (physical replication); it is domiciled in Luxembourg and UCITS-regulated, a European standard built to protect everyday investors and trades in USD. Its price has swung about 24.6% over the past year — a gauge of how much the value moves, not a judgement of quality. It launched in 2024. As with any investment, its value can go down as well as up, and past performance is not a guide to future results. (Fund data sourced from Amundi.)

How this works: an educational scenario, not a forecast. We compound monthly and add your monthly amount each month. “Expected annual return” is your own assumption — pick a cautious one; real markets are bumpy and can fall. “Adjust for inflation” simply restates the result in today’s spending power. The fee figure includes the yearly fund fee (TER) and the growth those fees would otherwise have earned. The fund comparison repeats each fund’s last-12-months return every year — a rough illustration only, which real funds never do. Not advice.
