What this fund is

Amundi Gold Miners UCITS ETF Dist is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) from Amundi, traded under the ticker CD91 (ISIN LU2611731824). In a single purchase you get a diversified basket of holdings rather than a stake in just one business. In plain terms it is about tracking physical commodities like gold or oil, which often move differently from shares and are used to spread risk or hedge inflation, spread across its target market. Rather than a manager picking stocks, it simply replicates the Solactive Developed Markets Pure Gold Miners Index NTR index — the passive, low-cost approach, and its largest holdings include NEWMONT CORP USD, BARRICK MINING CORP and AGNICO EAGLE MINES-CAD. With about 30 holdings (the ten largest ≈ 76.9%), your money is diversified rather than concentrated in a handful of names.

Geographically it leans ~54.7% Canada, ~18.3% United States and ~13.5% United Kingdom. By industry it concentrates most in ~100% Materials. It is typically held as a diversifier — a slice that behaves differently from mainstream shares — rather than as a portfolio's main engine. Its ongoing charge (TER) is 0.65% a year — about €65 a year on a €10,000 holding, taken automatically from the fund. Income such as dividends is paid out to you as cash (a distributing share class), and over the last year it paid out roughly 0.31% (its trailing yield).

It holds the underlying investments directly (physical replication); it is domiciled in Luxembourg and UCITS-regulated, a European standard built to protect everyday investors and trades in USD. Its price has swung about 50.4% over the past year, which describes how much its price tends to move rather than whether it is good. It launched in 2023. Like any investment, it can lose value as well as gain, and what it did before does not predict what it will do next. (Fund data sourced from Amundi.)

Pick a monthly amount and a number of years to see how regular investing can add up over time. These are your own assumptions — an illustration, not a prediction.

How this works: an educational scenario, not a forecast. We compound monthly and add your monthly amount each month. “Expected annual return” is your own assumption — pick a cautious one; real markets are bumpy and can fall. “Adjust for inflation” simply restates the result in today’s spending power. The fee figure includes the yearly fund fee (TER) and the growth those fees would otherwise have earned. The fund comparison repeats each fund’s last-12-months return every year — a rough illustration only, which real funds never do. Not advice.
