What this fund is

State Street® DoubleLine® Emerging Markets Fixed Income ETF is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) from SPDR, traded under the ticker EMTL (ISIN US78470P3091). In a single purchase you get a diversified basket of holdings rather than a stake in just one business. In plain terms it is about lending to governments and companies in return for regular interest, which tends to be steadier than shares but grows more slowly, spread across its target market. It passively tracks the JP Morgan Corporate Emerging Market Bond Index Broad Diversified index — mirroring that market instead of paying a manager to pick winners, which keeps costs low, and its largest holdings include US Dollars, OVERSEA-CHINESE BANKING 4.602 06/15/2032 and MINSUR SA 4.5 10/28/2031. With about 96 holdings (the ten largest ≈ 25.7%), your money is diversified rather than concentrated in a handful of names.

By geography it is weighted towards ~79.2% United States. Funds like this are often used as the steadier, lower-swing part of a portfolio — the ballast that cushions the ups and downs of shares. Its ongoing charge (TER) is 0.65% a year — about €65 a year on a €10,000 holding, taken automatically from the fund. It is a distributing share class — dividends are paid to you as cash rather than reinvested, and over the last year it paid out roughly 4.96% (its trailing yield). It holds the underlying investments directly (physical replication); it is domiciled in the United States and trades in USD.

Its price has swung about 2.3% over the past year, which describes how much its price tends to move rather than whether it is good. It launched in 2016. Like any investment, it can lose value as well as gain, and what it did before does not predict what it will do next. (Fund data sourced from SPDR.)

What your money could grow into

Pick a monthly amount and a number of years to see how regular investing can add up over time. These are your own assumptions — an illustration, not a prediction.

Using State Street® DoubleLine® Emerging Markets Fixed Income ETF’s fee. The “assumed yearly return” is just an assumption you can change — not a prediction.

Try:Rough historical ranges — your assumption, not a prediction or advice.

How this works: an educational scenario, not a forecast. We compound monthly and add your monthly amount each month. “Expected annual return” is your own assumption — pick a cautious one; real markets are bumpy and can fall. “Adjust for inflation” simply restates the result in today’s spending power. The fee figure includes the yearly fund fee (TER) and the growth those fees would otherwise have earned. The fund comparison repeats each fund’s last-12-months return every year — a rough illustration only, which real funds never do. Not advice.
